Celery Sauce

Makes 2 to 2 1/2 cups. Serve with kebabs or grilled meats.


  • 2 cups finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg


Over low heat, saute the celery in butter until softened, about 10 minutes. Place into a blender with the cream and process until smooth.

Return to the stove top, season with salt and pepper, and heat through.
